A client of mine keeps getting the 'Microsoft Exchange - Your mailbox has been temporarily moved on Microsoft Exchange server' - error and is prompted to use the temporary mailbox or use old data.Well, I would normally just delete the user profile and readd it manually, however the client HATES it when he loses his auto complete fields. It happened once before and he was very upset about it.So I need to be able to save the autocomplete files so that if I do delete the user profile, I can import the autocomplete so he has his contact list and everything else to autopopulate when he types the first letter of the email he wants to send to.Example: If he wants to send me an email, instead of typing out, he simply just wants to press J and a list of emails associated with the letter J pops up so he can just click on it.How can I accomplish this without risking the corruption of the data files? Some sites say utilities are needed, other say they are not. I need the Spiceworks community to be the overall final word on how I can accomplish this. The client is using Outlook 2016 32bit. You can use the following guide:Basically you will go to the following folderC:Users%username%AppDataLocalMicrosoftOutlookRoamCacheYou will copy the latest Autocomplete.dat file and move it to the new computer. Make sure the file is moved to the new computer. Create an email and then it will create an autocomplete.dat file on the same location.
Close outlook. Make a copy of the autocomplete backup and move it to the folder and replace the just created file with the same number as the other. It is a replacement. Hes not moving to a new computer, I just need to wipe his outlook account to get rid of the Temporary Inbox pop up. Then Ill reinstall his account to the same computer.
I just need to have the auto populated content so he doesnt get upset when he goes to short type a contact and is expecting the name to auto fill. Connect Outlook Com To Outlook 2013

Would I be able to navigate to the file location of the roamcache and just copy and cut it to save it? Then do a wipe of the user account and replace the file when I reload the account? I was involved in a small migration using a third party tool to move mail out of Exchange and into Office 365, and found that it was relatively straightforward to connect to the old Exchange server using EWSeditor. Once you open the inbox and select associated items you should see the autocomplete entry and can then export the stream in.bin format.
You can then connect EWSeditor to the Office 365 mailbox and create and merge from the stream export file. It's achievable for smaller migrations but a headache if there are tens to hundreds of mailboxes.
Our users use Office 365 (Plan 1) for their email. They were all on Outlook 2013 or earlier until a few weeks ago when we replaced an older machine with a new Dell workstation that came with Office 2016Home & Business. We never had a problem until Outlook 2016 came into use. Since then it's been nothing but trouble on the Outlook 2016 computer. OWA works fine.
The computer is, basically, pristine. It is used by the owner and all he uses is Outlook. This OST file is probably 18 GB. All MS updates have been applied. The first Outlook 2016 profile worked for 2 - 3 weeks, then stopped. We get this message: 'outlook cannot log on.
Verify you are connected to the network and are using the proper server. The microsott exchange information service in your profile is missing required information. Modify yourprofile to ensure that you are using the correct Microsoft exchange information service.'
. 2nd profile didn't work, ever. Office was uninstalled and reinstalled. 3rd profile worked for a week.
4th profile worked for less than an hour. Office 365 Support & Recovery Assistant was run. This might be what destroyed Profile #4. Profile 5 was created about 15 hours ago and is still working at this point.I spoke with a tech at Office 365 support who told me, among other things, that autodiscover is correct and that the servers are correct as well.We have more Outlook 2016 computers coming in, so this problem needs to be resolved. Hi Steve,Please confirm if the issue persists in Outlook Online mode (with Exchange Cached mode unchecked).

Hi Winnie & Steve. We are an IT company that deploys Office 365 across our client base.We are experiencing the exact same problems ever since the 2016 release. It appears to be totally random - across different OS and different customers. The autodiscover test confirms that it is setup correctly.I have not tested turning off cache mode as once the problem occurs you can not access the profile to make any changes. Running in online only mode is not an option for my customersWe need a urgent patch from MS or an option to downgrade to office 2013.
